Men’s shirts are made in three basic patterns: Regular fit, slim or tailored. You also have long sleeves shirt and a short sleeved shirt. The long sleeve shirt has a button cuff or a French cuff. The button cuff closes with two buttons. The French cuffs are considered as a more elegant fashion statement because of its fold up variety with cuff links. Many French cuffs are white while a button cuff uses the same color and pattern as the shirt. Both are good for office, evenings or social events.
The collars of a Man’s shirt come in three basic styles: the turndown collar, the button down collar and the collarless shirts. The turndown collar is the standard with stays sewn to keep it in shape, the button-down collar has buttons to keep the collar in place and the collarless shirt which is generally limited to formal wear are not for the office.
Considering the fabric of a shirt, cotton is the most comfortable, and with proper care cotton shirts always look better. Linen and silk also gives a classic and spectacular look, but silk fades off very easily if not dry cleaned and also tends to stretch out of shape and of course it is most expensive.
Most of the shirts have one pocket, over the left breast, wherein your glasses, a pen, and a few business cards are all that can fit in.

It would be best to wash the brand new custom shirt before wearing it, so as to remove any toxic chemicals and also make the material softer. It is best not to dry clean the shirts, as the chemicals used in dry cleaning will destroy the fabric and also turn it yellow, instead it would be safer to give it for laundering. To get white shirts look whiter, bleach can be used. To avoid color lifting out of your shirts, separate the shirts into white, colors and dark and wash separately. To keep your shirt looking wrinkle free, iron the shirt when it is damp. It is a good idea to buy one special dress shirt, preferably white for weddings, funerals and special occasions.
