Jeans are trousers traditionally made from denim, but are also made from a variety of other fabric. It was originally intended for work; however, it became popular among teenagers. Today jeans is a popular form of casual dress and comes in many styles and colors, the most famous being the “blue jeans”.


 

Actually the blue jeans were sturdy trousers worn by workers, especially in the factories during World War II. During 1970s the blue jeans became more of a fashion. In Chinese jeans are known as “cowboy pants”, indicating their association with American West, cowboy culture, and outdoor work.


 

Some of the fits produced for men’s jeans are Baggy jeans, Boot cut, Bell bottoms, Loose jeans, Saggy, Skinny jeans, straight jeans, Ankle jeans, jeans shorts … For most Men jeans has been the most valuable, not because it is the best looking or the most expensive piece of clothing; but because it can be worn around the house, in the work place or any casual outing.

 

When searching for a perfect pair of jeans, you need to look out for a pair that will remain for years. The original blue jeans are the most versatile piece. As for the slightly faded blue jeans, it is more of a casual wear and can really look hip with a nice sports coat and shirt. If work environment allows jeans, then denim would be the best choice. The greatest pair of jeans will ridiculous if the fit is not proper. A good choice of jeans would be a straight leg or a boot cut. Since jeans are likely to shrink it’s important to get the length longer as it also gives an opportunity to fold.

Washing the jeans or denim before hemming them is a good idea as this will put the denim through any initial shrinking. For instance, if you want an inch taken off, then it is better to go for two-thirds of an inch, as it would be as a buffer for any future shrinkage. To maintain color, and an overall look of the jeans, it is best to wash them alone in the first wash, after that you can wash them inside out. It is best not to dry jeans I the dryer instead hang them on a clothespin.
